  8. for the Money Smith program to be used by vendors
  9. and shareware distributors.  Distribution rules
  10. are included.

  18. DISTRIBUTION RULES (from the license)

  20. General: Any not-for-profit distribution of the 
  21.   shareware version is fine as long as you include
  22.   the full documentation, executables, and examples.

  27.   unregistered shareware version of Money Smith subject 
  28.   to the conditions in the license and the following:

  36.         member distributors may charge a nominal fee of
  37.         no more than $5 to distribute this shareware

  58. SHORT REVIEW OF MONEY SMITH
  59.  
  60.   Money Smith for Windows is a full featured home and
  61. small business accounting system for Windows 3.0. Money
  62. Smith includes many powerful features like automated 
  63. transactions, double entry accounting, investment
  64. tracking, and dynamic graphs and reports.  The unique
  65. press and point help, a toolbar, and status bar make 
  66. it a snap to use.  Definable accounts and an arbitrary
  67. date system let you decide what to look at and when.
  68. Frustrated with limited home checkbook programs full
  69. of accounting jargon?  Try Money Smith - its a breath 
  70. of fresh air for the common user.  Package includes 
  71. excellent documentation, online indexed help, samples 
  72. for home and business use, and a windows based setup 
  73. program.  Simply the best!

  83. LONG REVIEW
  84.  
  85.   Money Smith is a full featured home and small business
  86. accounting package for Windows 3.0
  87.  
  88.   Money Smith exploits the windows environment to make
  89. a great home finance tool.  Unique press and point help
  90. lets you push on the tool or menu command you need help
  91. on and instantly brings up that topic.  A toolbar has
  92. all of the common functions across the top - letting
  93. you instantly view and change account balances and
  94. transactions.  The 'what you see is what you get' graphs
  95. and reports can be shown side by side with your accounts.
  96. The graphs and reports even update as you change your
  97. accounts and balances automatically.  The new
  98. multi-document interface makes Money Smith both flexible
  99. and easy to use.

  101.   Money Smith uses a powerful double entry accounting
  102. system to track all of your income, expenses, assets,
  103. etc.. - without the traditional complexity of other
  104. accounting systems.  You define what to track - up
  105. to 200 accounts are supported.  Sample files make 
  106. setting up your accounts a snap - just put your own
  107. starting balances in and you're ready to go.  Multiple
  108. views let you look at all your account balances or
  109. zero in on any selected account to see just what's
  110. happening.  As always - accounts are recomputed while
  111. you view them so there's no guessing involved.

  113.   The transaction system is simplicity itself.  Just
  114. enter the date, any description you want, the amount,
  115. and select the to and from accounts from lists of
  116. accounts.  Need a new account - just type the name
  117. in and Money Smith will add it on the fly.  Do you
  118. have any regular bills or transactions?  Just press
  119. the 'Recurring' button to make any transaction into
  120. an automatic one - and you specify how often it runs
  121. and whether Money Smith should bother you with it 
  122. or just do it!

  124.   Once you have entered some data Money Smith gives
  125. you plenty of ways to look at it.  A full suite of
  126. standard financial reports and color graphs are
  127. included.  All of the reports and graphs are
  128. dynamic.  They actually change while you watch when
  129. you're entering new data.

  131.   Advanced features like investment tracking,
  132. password protection, defineable account groups
  133. (called categories) and end of year processing
  134. round out Money Smith's features.  These cater
  135. to the more advanced user who wants a bit more
  136. from their financial program.

  138.   Naturally Money Smith is archived with complete 
  139. documentation (both online and printable), order
  140. forms, examples, and a windows setup program to
  141. install it on your hard disk.  The shareware 
  142. version is not crippled at all - full functionality
  143. is enabled.

  145.   Registration provides you with a registered
  146. disk (free of shareware intro dialogs), 90 days
  147. of support, and if you register before Dec 31,
  148. 1992 you get a coupon for a free upgrade to 
  149. the next version.  The author is a member of the
  150. Association of Shareware Professionals and 
  151. conforms to their standards of user support.
